Ainalaiyn Space and Three Highgate Gallery are happy to welcome Nurbol Nurakhmet for his residency ‘Persistent Patterns,’ from 25th of May until 4th of June, 2024.

The residency is a continuation of a solo exhibition and body of research presented last year at the gallery ‘Panopticon: The Unsettled Body.’ In this solo show, the artist expanded the definition of space beyond its traditional understanding; not only situating his figures within interiors and landscapes but spaces of memory, the past, and political ideology.

Nurbol Nurakhmet will continue his research on body representation and experience, and work on drawing sessions and collages.

Selected artworks from the Panopticon exhibition as well as new works created by Nurakhmet during his residency will be on view at Three Highgate Gallery from the 25th of May, 2024.
